Magnificent Monday!
We began the day having French with Mlle.
Jessica.
We then moved onto Math. We were number
detectives today. We first looked at a hundred’s chart and needed to figure out
the missing numbers; we also needed to explain how we know (I know that the
answer is 67 because 67 comes before 68 and after 66; I know the answer is 76
because 76 is ten more than 66). We continued being number detectives with our
own hundred’s chart. Ms. Jaskolka read out clues and we needed to figure out
the number. We continued being number detectives in our math books.
We then had physical education with Ms.
Jaskolka and Ms. Baimas.
Next, we continued our math activities.
Following first recess and lunch, we began
our new unit of inquiry Who we Are: Amazing bodies. We first discussed what we
already know about being healthy and then the questions that we have about healthy
living; we posted our questions on our wonder wall.
We then had Music.
When students returned, we wrote our homework
in our agendas and then read chapter 10 of Charlotte’s Web.
After second recess and lunch, we had a
review for spelling. We were given 15 words from lessons 1-5. We will be tested
on those words on Friday. On Friday, we will also be given 5 extra bonus words
from lessons 1-5 that were not given to us.
