Thursday!!!
Jacob
is our action star today!!! He was teaching friends in his neighbourhood all
about life cycles! Great way to extend your learning, Jacob!!
Come join us on movie Night, next Friday!! Tickets are due tomorrow.
We
began the day having French with Mlle. Jessica.
We then
moved onto Math. We had a discussion about doubles
and how they can help us figure out addition problems. For example, when we
answer 8+7 we can: Use a double 7 + 7 = 14 then we add 1 and our
answer is 15. We showed our knowledge of doubles and near doubles in our
math books.
We then had physical education with
Mr. H.
When we returned, we continued
working on doubles and near doubles activities.
After first recess and lunch, we
continued our summative presentations.

We were then off to Music.
When students returned, they wrote
their homework in their agendas and then continued tracking their bean life
cycle. Some have grown so big!!!
Following second recess and lunch,
we worked on our writing. We were given simple sentences and we used adjectives
and answered W5 and how to add detail to our sentences.
When we were finished, we did some
fun word work in order to practice for our spelling test tomorrow. We were given
a choice of writing our words using funky letters or rainbow colours. Some students’
chose both. What fun!
