Tremendous Tuesday!
We began the day with math. We reviewed again how to find the area of a triangle and did some practice questions along with our mid unit review. So far, we have learned about finding the area and perimeter of a parallelogram and triangle. After our mid unit review we will learn about finding the area of a trapezoid and an irregular figure and then we will do our review and test for this unit.
Students are reminded that when given the area of a triangle and looking for the dimensions, the first step is to multiply the area by 2 (since we divide to get the area) and then find the dimensions. For example:
The area of a triangle is 8cm²
8X2 = 16
So the dimensions for this triangle could be
base=4
height=4
base = 8
height = 2
base = 2
height = 8
Then we had French.
During recess we met together with the Grade 6 and 5 classes and discussed safety protocols during our skiing trip tomorrow.
After lunch we began writing our UOI test.
Then we had Music.
When we returned, we continued writing our UOI test.
When we were finished, we continued working on our speech.
After second recess and lunch we continued working on our speech. Most students are finished reason paragraph 2 and are to have reason paragraph 3 ready for tomorrow.

4. Be at the school for 6:30, with a lunch and wearing warm clothes
