Terrific Thursday
We began the day having French with
Mdm. Stella.
During UOI, we discussed the
purpose of media and whom it is created for. We learned that media is created
with a specific audience in mind. This is called a target audience (the group
of people who would like and will buy or use it). We looked at different
examples of media and tried to figure out the target audience for each one.
We then had art with Ms. Kerr.
After first recess and lunch we had
physical education with Ms. Lovan.
When students returned, we dove
into math. We checked to see if our predictions were correct from yesterday (an
activity that takes less than a minute, about a minute, and more than a
minute). We also saw how many five trains of snap cubes we could make in one
minute.
After, we looked at four different activities and we needed to decide
if it would take hours, seconds, minutes, or days to complete.
We then completed another UOI
activity. Students wrote about a form of media they heard/saw/read recently in
their journal.
At the end of the day, we practiced
our commercials for the toys we created.
