Terrific Tuesday!
We began the day having French with Mdm. Stella.
We then continued working on our rough copies in UOI. We
have created our own country and we are explaining the weather, clothing,
shelter, and food. We are also comparing these features with that of Canada.
We then had art with Ms. Kerr.
After first recess and lunch we reviewed fact families. We
know that knowing 7+6 can help us answer 13-7 because they are all part of the
same fact family. We then had a discussion about doubles and how they can help
us figure out addition problems. For example, when we answer 8+7 we can: Use a
double 7 + 7 = 14 Then we add 1 and our answer is 15. We showed our knowledge of doubles
and near doubles in our math books.
We then continued working on our UOI projects.
After second recess and lunch, we wrote our homework in our
agendas and worked on our unit 5 spelling words.
