Wonderful Wednesday!!

We began the day practicing our multiplication skills. Each day we are given ten minutes to fill in a multiplication chart. It is very important that students know their multiplication table and are able to use this knowledge to improve on their division skills. We reviewed our homework about using mental math strategies and then we moved onto Divisibility Rules. We practiced some examples as a class.

Then we learned about Limericks!! We had a lot of fun reading limericks and creating our own!!

Here are two that we read:

Here are the success criteria for our own Limerick:

Success Criteria & Exit Ticket: My limerick …
·   is an amusing verse of five lines
·   has lines 1, 2, and 5 that rhyme and lines 3 and 4 that rhyme
·   Line 5 refers to line 1
·   Lines 3 and 4 are usually shorter than the other lines
The rhyming pattern is AABBA.

After second recess and lunch we worked in our literature circles for Chapter 13.

Then we had Music.

When we returned we worked on our summative project. Students worked on making cue cards and then practicing for their presentation.

After second recess and lunch we continued working on our summative project. Our success criteria for today:
